Pin-Rolled Valentine Card
From Martha Stewart Living?
Cut strips of
paper about
¼-inch wide and of varying lengths.
(You do that.) Maybe you could
use a paper shredder to make this job quicker.
Then have students roll these strips using round toothpicks. Then they can stretch out the rolled papers
to make all sorts of shapes, especially hearts. They
can make a big heart with little curlicues inside.
They have them glue these hearts onto a
piece of cardstock or construction paper to make a card or picture.
This is harder
and more
tedious than it sounds. I would only
try it with 5th graders.
