Team Scavenger Hunt
This game is
great fun, but
requires a little care to keep it calm.
Not recommended for a class with poor self-control.
Break
the class into teams of about 4 people each.
Make a list of about 10 items to be found, such as a blue
eraser, a
non-white sock, a band-aid. End with a
few more challenging or funny items like a belt, a boy wearing a
girl’s shoe,
etc. Identify a team captain for each
team. The team captain must always be
the one who brings the item to you, whether it is a thing or a teammate
doing
something. The first team captain to
bring the item gets a point. You call
out one thing at a time. Be careful to
move about the room so that you are not nearer to any particular team
more
often than another. The team with the
most points at the end wins. The fun is
in watching teams bring crazy items or do weird stunts.
In the adult version, one might ask for a
man wearing a woman’s high heel, a woman wearing a man’s
tie, a wallet with
their spouse’s picture in it, etc.
